Net-gain zones

The map identifies the areas which correspond to the three strategic zones for use with Cornwall Council's net-gain tool.

• Zone 1 - Existing network area: formally identified in local strategy (multiplier 1.15)
• Zone 2 - Opportunity area = location ecologically desirable but not in local strategy (multiplier 1.1)
• All other areas: not in a local strategy (multiplier 1)

The first zone derives from the existing nature network map and the second from both habitat opportunity maps and the proposed strategic corridors linking existing nature network core areas.
